Foresters' Corner
September 2008 As promised, we will continue to share information that we find interesting with our customers, suppliers, and friends. A little over one month ago our insurance agent called and asked when a good time for a customer/employee appreciation cookout would be. Both of our companies, JC Eames Timber Harvesters and Fort Mountain Trucking Company had an accident free year and the insurance folks wanted to thank us. The afternoon of Friday, September 5th, a cookout was held at the garage of Fort Mountain Companies with members of the Acadia Insurance Company present. John Lysy, our Senior Loss Control Representative, was on hand to cook up a batch of steak tips and chicken that was enjoyed by all.
The Osha.gov website has plenty of great information for implementing a company wide safety & health management program. Click on this link to use Osha's cost calculation worksheet to see how much an accident could potentially cost your company http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/safetyhealth/mod1_estimating_costs.html Thank you to John Lysy for cooking a great meal and for sending us the link to the OSHA website. We hope to see you soon. Your friends in the forest, Jeff & Crews |
